Fox Sports

That’s why they need yet another channel, but they don’t have a contiguous number for one. They should have given ESPN a higher number than 508 at the outset so Fox could use it if needed. Some re-numbering may be in order.

Why can’t they use main event?

I thought Main Event was reserved for special events like boxing and UFC?

It is, but there are plenty of times where it could act as an overflow channel for live sport

FSN won’t work in the future after Sky News take over running it

they have used it for special event programming before. i recall a few years they ran all simpons on fox 8 during the holidays and showed WWE raw and smackdown on main event.

I wonder if their is a similar requirement for Super Rugby? I’d imagine so.

Perhaps use Fox News 500 instead? During the live events nobody would be watching that channel.

##fox Sports extends partnership with Ladies European Tour

FOX SPORTS today (June 29) confirmed it has extended its partnership with the Ladies European Tour (LET) for another three years in a unique arrangement that will provide more opportunities to Australian female golfers.
Beginning in 2018, the exclusive partnership will see FOX SPORTS provide live coverage of LET events including the prestigious biennial Solheim Cup in August 2019.
As part of the partnership, FOX SPORTS will work with the ALPG to give up-and-coming Australian golfers the opportunity to compete in various events across the season under a sponsored entrant arrangement.
Gold Coast prospect, Amy Walsh, is the first beneficiary of the new partnership after being chosen to compete in the Ladies European Thailand Championship starting July 6, 2017.
The nomination will pit the 21 year old against some of the best players in the world in only her fourth LET event.
FOX SPORTS Director of Acquisitions, Rebecca McCloy said: “This is a very unique arrangement that’s part of our wider commitment to supporting niche and women’s sports. It will provide more pathways for our rising female golf stars to compete against the best in the world and help them reach their goals.”
ALPG CEO, Karen Lunn, said: “ALPG is delighted that our partnership with FOX SPORTS will provide our members with a unique opportunity to compete in selected events on one of the major women’s golf tours.”
Amy Walsh said: “This new arrangement with FOX SPORTS and the LET is very exciting. It will provide more opportunities for players like me to compete in main tour events around the world. Hopefully I can make the most of what will be a great week in Thailand on the LET.”

When the broadcast schedule for the Women’s Cricket World Cup was released about four weeks ago, I complained that Australia’s group match against South Africa will not be shown in full even with five sports channels available. 507: live surfing from Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa
Women’s cricket will be shown live on channel 503 at 10pm AEST after the GWS-Sydney clash.

So Fox aren’t even showing it online?

Looks like they’re showing the other 3 games. Strange.
https://www.foxsports.com.au/live

At least it’s on 9now

This seems…weird.

Seems like someone is trying to buy good media news stories… seems like this government will try anything to get Murdoch on side. What other backdoor offers have been made to this organisations and other media outlets… makes me think about the deals and backroom deals that are going on at TEN at the moment.

Something is suss.

So Fox Sports is a public broadcaster now?

no.

Fox Sports News have ‘tidied’ their lower-thirds ahead of Sky News taking over it on Monday with the news ticker and FSN cube being removed:
