My assumption was that it would be the regular Thursday crew of Sarah Jones, Leigh Montagna, Chief and Kingy, plus a caller which based on availability would be Howie. Montagna can call or expert as needed.
The winner will be the latest signing for Fox Footy, following a raft of recent announcements which included Leigh Matthews, Tom Hawkins, Shaun Burgoyne, and Adam Simpson joining the commentary team.
The AFL this afternoon announced the 2025 pre-season fixture, including the return of Indigenous All Stars game. Every AAMI Community Series match will be shown live and exclusive on Fox Footy and Kayo.
With Fox having exclusive coverage of the all star game this month, should we be expecting new graphics for that or would they save that for the pre-season or even opening round?
I would guess that the All-Star game and preseason matches will continue using the current broadcast package, with a full brand refresh and new package unveiled to mark the official start of the new season.
I feel like showing it early for a 1 off match can be used to see the viewer reactions to it. Then make the necessary adjustments or no adjustments until the season actually starts.
Like the NFL broadcasters who most of the time has new or tweaked graphics for the Super Bowl & then continue it to the next season with changes if it got negative feedback
Burgoyne will be joined at the desk by an elite line-up of ex-players, commentators and hosts including Eddie Betts, Matthew Pavlich, Adam Papalia and Kath Loughnan.
Seems to be issues with Fox Footy tonight. A lot of people reporting that they can’t watch the Indigenous All Stars match on the TV channel, with a constant loop of handshakes from the Bulldogs v Essendon practice match being shown instead.
So that last part.
Does that mean Fox will have some of their own cameras at the ground, or do they know 7 will have more camera, therefore there will be more cameras at those matches?
I’m assuming it would mirror what happens in a Test match with roles reversed (Fox host broadcaster Test Matches, 7 for footy) Fox will have 4 cameras they can use to splice into the host broadcast.
