Fox Footy

Nick Riewoldt will not be directly replaced by Fox Footy/Foxtel in his role doing special comments for Fox’s broadcasts, instead his role will be filled by a mix of ex-players and coaches. Riewoldt’s position on Best on Ground will not be replaced, while his role on Monday night show On the Coach will be filled by a prominent ex-player. Foxtel will also use Collingwood AFLW stars Chloe Molloy and Ruby Schleicher to provide expert comments during the men’s season.

Not for long… what did they think would happen when they expanded so quickly…

According to who? All I can see is that Sydney has expressed an interest in signing her (which is no guarantee that she’ll actually sign), despite there being no defined trade period yet.

The AFL has revealed broadcast details of this week’s unofficial match simulations and next week’s official practice games. All will be streamed live on Kayo and shown live on Foxtel.

Them deciding to keep Best on Ground shows how much they really listen to viewer feedback.

As I’ve said before, it wouldn’t be so bad if they still had a proper highlights and analysis show…

The general consensus among the league is that she will walk to the Swans thanks to the new PSP.

Sydney centric decision thinking what “works” on the NRL channel will work for the AFL. In essence it’s a Matty Johns show with a band.

Fox Footy running an ad showing AFL360 and what looks like On the Couch (showing Lyon, Buckley, Dunstall and Brown). Be interesting to see if that’s how it falls out in actuality.

Dunstall on Couch would be fantastic, he did great when he’s filled in in recent years.

Fox Footy is simulcasting Kayo’s coverage for this weekend’s round of match simulations.
Last year these games were exclusive to Kayo only.

The next match was shown on the unusual for footy 505.

504 missed the start of the Carlton-Collingwood game this morning as it was still on an ad break. They joined about 10 seconds into the contest, missing the 4ish minutes of pre-game.

This year’s season launch will be held on Thursday morning from Arbory Afloat, general public welcomed for a change.
