Fox Footy

That’s very strange. Maybe there’s two different outputs?

Fox Footy airing an old game in the incorrect aspect ratio.

Can people remember for paywalled articles to at least write a few sentences to summarise what the article says?

Best on Ground was that bad, the man is moving overseas to escape it!

A similar article was posted on Herald Sun website tonight but it was just about two points:

  • Riewoldt is out of contract with Fox Footy and considering living in the US with his family next year (his wife Catherine is originally from Texas)
  • Riewoldt was also believed to be high on Nine’s list to replace current St Kilda coach Ross Lyon on Footy Classified

The rest of the article was about Riewoldt’s role on Fox Footy shows since he joined the channel in 2018.

He’d be a great get for Nine. They could also try and bundle in a radio deal if he does stay over here.

Herald Sun reports tonight that Riewoldt is considering a mega offer from Seven which not only includes AFL commentary, but also pivoting into a lifestyle career path with other programs on the network. It comes after his win on Celebrity MasterChef Australia last year.

So he has offers for Fox, Seven and Nine. I wonder if 10 will offer him something too? Could host the Cricket Coverage

I assume this means (at least eventually) Better Homes and Gardens, House of Wellness (does that still run?), maybe a ‘Weekender’ style program?

Yes Seven still airs House of Wellness every week. However, each episode is posted on the show’s YouTube channel one day before the TV broadcast.

Herald Sun reported late today that Nick Riewoldt had rejected a massive offer from Seven, and decided to live in the US for 12 months with his family. He will relocate to Houston, Texas, the hometown of his wife Catherine and three young boys James, Will and Teddy, in January.

Not surprising he’s heading back to the USA. He will be missed on the coverage and given he was on pretty much every show in 2022, the programming too.

Weren’t his kids born while he was playing?

News reported it as a three way tussle betwen. FOX Footy, Seven and Nine, who all wanted him for different roles. I find the clickbait headlines from News quite disgusting sometimes. I won’t post a link so as not to give them the satisfaction of more clicks but they wrote:

AFL legend quits TV, blows up life

He decided to take a break for a year and spend more time with his family. How is that blowing up your life? Just because he didn’t sign with Fox Footy, he’s somehow destroying his life? Disgraceful.
