You would be correct- they’re not as common as they used to be but many clubs still do one every now and then.

Pie night was always every Thursday night and tied in with Thursday night training and team selection straight after.

The amount of hate Kelli Underwood gets when she’s commentating is disturbing and grossly disproportionate compared to other commentators, some of whom are worse than her (ahem, Hamish McLachlan).

It’s actually gotten to a point where I am not looking forward to a game she does, not because of the quality of her commentating, but because it means that I can’t scroll Twitter or view game highlights because at least 70% of comments under them are dominated by insults aimed at Kelli, and that makes it quite depressing to scroll through.

Are there better commentators than her? Yes, there is, but there are a few commentators who are worse than her, and yet somehow they don’t receive even half of the vitriol she cops. Overall, it’s seriously ordinary stuff.
