That’s what they normally do on GF day. However, don’t think they did a post-game show last year - the countdown in the 2nd half was for the delayed airing of the GF.
There is an Under 19s exhibition game between WA and SA being played as a curtain raiser at Optus Stadium starting at 1pm WST / 3pm WST. It would be nice if Fox Footy could cover it seeing as 7 don’t seem interested.
However in the previous incarnation of Fox Footy they tried something different which managed to confuse a few viewers.
Many stories of this went around in 2006 due to the fact the same 2 teams (Swans v Eagles) were playing as 2005. A unique scenario that wouldn’t cause confusion in most other years.
You would’ve been able to tell though. Also the marking on the ground where it says GRAND FINAL 2005?
Is this broadcast on Fox today?
No, Fox Footy is broadcasting the Grand Final press conference live at midday AEST.
Max Gawn, Marcus Bontempelli, Simon Goodwin and Luke Beveridge have their final say on Saturday’s big game live from Optus Stadium.
It will be followed by Captain’s Run (ticketed event for the general public) on the field at 12.30pm AEST.
That is a shame. They always air the GF parade
That’ll be a delayed broadcast since the press conference started at 10:30am AEST
Fox Sports News showed the press-conferences live, with Fox Footy showing key points from that, alongside coverage of the Captain’s Run.
One thing I don’t like being a passionate AFLW supporter, is the fact that the replays are overnight. AFLW surely should get a timeslot during the day rather than continuous replays of the Grand Final and the Longest Kick.
Former Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley has joined Fox Footy as a commentator. He will be part of Fox Footy’s game day coverage as well as being featured on the channel’s marquee shows.
After retiring as a player, Buckley had a brief stint at Seven to provide special comments for its AFL telecasts before signing with the Pies as an assistant coach.
Gerard Healy has stepped down as host of On The Couch.
The most logical prediction. Lyon to host with Buckley joining Rielwoldt and Brown.
Fox Footy will show the 2021 AFL Draft live across two nights this week: Wednesday (November 24) from 7pm to 9pm AEDT, and Thursday (November 25) from 6.30pm to 9.30pm AEDT. The top 15 picks will be revealed on Wednesday.
Where did the 15 come from? Was under the impression that night one is the entire first round. Officially that’s 18 selections but will blow out to 20 with 2 F/S picks.
Correct.
Read on another forum that Fox Footy will have a graphics overhaul next year.
My tip will be they will be the same as Fox Cricket
