Or they’ll do what they did last week and have someone coughanthonyhudsonpleasecough call both games in Melbourne.

If that’s the case hopefully it is Huddo & not that tosser Dwayne Russell.

Herald Sun reports Fox Footy will show the AFL mid-season draft for the first time. The draft will be held on Monday, May 27, at 6.30pm AEST, with two recruiting representatives from each club to attend an AFL House event expected to last about 30 minutes.

There aren’t two games in Melbourne. The Saturday night game is in Brisbane.

Dwayne Russell is going to Shanghai.

Yep, you’re telling me nothing I didn’t already know, not sure what I was thinking! I must have thought the Melb game was the Fox game (it’s not and it’s in Darwin and it’ll be good to have Adel back on 7 finally). I imagine they’ll use Kelli Underwood (well, that’s who I would use at any rate).
Derrwayne goes to China to cheerlead for the Power every year. Hopefully he stays there this year, that would be crazy good.

This is news?
The AFL themselves announced this ages ago.

Actually Ben Waterworth is another option. He works at Fox Footy as a journalist and is a Fox AFLW commentator.

He also called an AFL match for Fox last August when Brenton Speed was unavailable.

Kell is who I’d use was what I meant. I’d be using her ahead of a couple they regularly use though.

Was that the Gold Coast vs Richmond game where Riewoldt kicked 10 goals?

Yes!

Can anyone remember who the lead commentator was for this game between GWS and Port Adelaide in 2012? All I remember was that he was a fill-in for Dwayne Russell who was in London for the Olympics.

That would be Tristan Foenander.

Cheers, I recall watching that match on 7mate in Sydney in 2012 but the commentator’s name escaped me immediately afterwards.

IIRC he called the Gold Coast vs Sydney game the week prior (July 28) and the Gold Coast vs GWS game in round 20 (August 11). Matt Campbell would’ve also had to call a few Sunday games to cover Dwayne’s absence.

Ben Waterworth is the fill in this Saturday - calling the GWS game at Giants Stadium.
