dal mentioned him and lynch were close to the boundary line when Wags scored IIRC.

Same mic branding for the Crows v Dees.

Crows game was a 7 game. Hence the Fox mic branding.

Yep good call

They should be doing that with Thursday & Friday games for some reason don’t. They stick to the TFN & FNF mics

Fox Footy in the winners rooms on a Thursday night? Not sure I’ve seen that before.
Also correct me if I’m wrong but is that ‘new’ desk repurposed from Fox’s BBL coverage?

Good to see that Fox have a team on the ground at People First Stadium tonight.

Leigh Matthews and Jonathan Brown in special comments, Alastair Lynch on the boundary, and Anthony Hudson as the solo caller (per Fox’s blowtorch).

and a full team at that.
thought huddo might have called it from the studio, glad to be wrong

For the most part, he and/or Jonathan Brown cover games in the two league markets (Brisbane and Sydney), with the Gold Coast in between.

Lynch will be on the boundary for the GWS vs Geelong game tomorrow.

The postgame interview tonight with Andrew Brayshaw is one thing I’m not comfortable with tonight.

And I believe if you were watching that live, you would feel the same too.

Same here, was a very silly choice to pick a player who was only sent off with 7 seconds left in the match with a reasonable amount of blood-loss. Kath was seen post-game on the coverage approaching Brayshaw for the interview, implying she chose him for it and not the producer on the boundary who possibly went to grab Sam Switkowski.

A lot of praise online for Brayshaw for doing the interview, I wouldn’t have if I was him. He was still bleeding in the rooms while they sung the song too.

Fox Footy using their black Fox Footy mics instead of “Sunday Ticket” branded ones for the second week in a row.
First two matches were either an exclusive (MEL v NM) or a Ch7 match (StK v SYD), so not an issue, but they’re also using them for the PA v WCE match, so presumably will be shown on 7 in SA & WA.

Yep - 7 Adelaide as part of local pre-game just showed a Fox interview with the mics

Corbin Middlemas had a long day at work yesterday: commentating the third test between West Indies and Australia for ABC Radio off the tube (4am start), then calling Melbourne v North Melbourne in the afternoon for Fox Footy alongside Kelli Underwood.

Nine’s chief AFL reporter Tom Morris said on Footy Classified that the Legends Game would clash with the All-Australian Awards night on Fox Footy. He said that neither Seven and Foxtel is backing down from ownership of the slot.

He said it on the 24th of June, not last night.

Yeah looks to be the same one, probably the one they have in Brisbane.

Usually they have the camera and headphone combo to interview a player, good to see they were actually there and in the rooms.

This call of Swans v North is so low energy - its almost like there isn’t a play-by-play caller at times
