They spoke about walking around on the ground and talking to the umpires before going on air.
Given the issues we’ve seen this summer, it’s quite smart from both 7 and Fox to call off tube a fair bit to reduce potential issues around replacements.

They do send reporting journalists but that studio looked very much like a Sydney or Melbourne studio.
Looks like the commentary box was set up in the stand, just up from where they were conducting interviews on ground.

Yeah day 3 is the important one. Sky (and England in general) only do pink (well, red) for day 1 of the Strauss Pink Test.
BJ, Waugh and Hussey are based at the Fox Sports studios in Sydney.
I’m guessing they are keeping them isolated in their own “bubble” in case the commentators at the SCG get hit with Covid.

Weird sound mix on the Fox test feed being sent to Sky NZ. Sounds like one/two of the commentary team is off mic and competing with the ground sound effects to be heard. Been the same since the start of play and same on satellite/streaming. Presume it’s not the same on the domestic feed otherwise they would have sorted it.

West Indies vs Ireland is on and Fox Sports according to windies FB page they have the rights for the series but didn’t show the first ODI of the series last night are we going to miss these even though they have got the rights and are they showing the England series in 2 weeks

I have been watching BBL highlights on Cricket Australia website, and it seems to me that Isa Guha is the only commentator who says “Chemist Warehouse four” and “Toyota six” each time a batsman hits the ball to the boundary. It’s becoming too repetitive and unnatural.

Fox Cricket using the Fox Footy studios today, but it’s a different desk and set pieces.
Yeah it’s a Fox sponsorship thing.
It’s a bit naff but so is X-Factor players, Power Surges and the like. I enjoy Big Bash but it’s essentially like Marvel movies…candy floss for the brain.
Having said all of this…I find the Seven commentary team unwatchable for BBL. I understand their test product is quite good but man their BBL needs some work.
