Saw one in the second half
1 - 3, owch.
That was to be expected since there were no ad breaks in either half.
Seven have gone to ads a lot faster than after the France game. Figuring that there will be a big turn off?
There are no breaks in football. Enjoyed the game on Optus (except the result) with people who know the game and not jump on the bandwagon 7 people.
How did tonight’s commentary compare to others during the tournament and soccer in general? I found it pretty flat. The English goals seemed to come as a surprise with no excitement leading into the scoring shot.
It will be interesting to see how Seven will schedule the Matildas’ game against Sweden this Saturday given the 6pm AEST kick off. Seven will cover three AFL matches in the same period depending on market: GWS v Essendon (4.35pm AEST), St Kilda v Geelong (7.25pm AEST) and Adelaide v Sydney (7.40pm AEST).
Tonight will be huge for 7 of course, but I think interest will drop off significantly for the 3rd place game.
7/7mate advised for the 3rd place match Saturday. 7 for the final on Sunday.
I’m going to assume VIC & SA for 7mate.
Here we go again… 7’s Facebook page says Saturday 5.00 not 5.30.
Although, should still be good shares for a Saturday night.
Tonight’s Semi-Final coverage finished at 10.36pm.
For the Third-Place Final on Saturday night, the ads do say coverage starts at 5.30pm (for a 6pm kick-off). Only a thirty minute pre-game segment, compared to one-hour for tonights match. The 5pm Saturday News to remain, by the looks of it.
Yep quite a few will jump off the bandwagon that’s for sure
Approx 10:35 start for both late bulletins
Nine Late News reporting on the result (Sydney and Brisbane)

Suddenly Nine’s and Ten’s rating projections for Sunday are looking a lot better
I’d say the world cup final will still be the top rating program on Sunday. Theres sufficient interest now to see it through.

I agree. I think Sunday’s final will still pull at least one million metro viewers.
I’m sure Seven will still win the night but i don’t think Nine and Ten will be as damaged as they would had the Matildas got through.
