Whether or not Nine will bid for the rights to 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup could well depend on the network getting the 2027 Ashes series in England, as it’s almost certain that the two tournaments will again overlap. If Nine gets the cricket then I think it won’t bid for the football.

And Optus is doing these squeezebacks, and SBS did last year too (and those little banner ones).

Mel McLaughlin has to be one of the worst hosts I’ve ever seen for live rolling sport coverage, what’s the point of having someone as experienced as Bruce with her if he hardly contributes? One host would be much better and will allow for discussion to flow much more naturally.
