The new interface is interesting. Seems more focussed on apps and streaming. Recordings are now in the last position.

Seems to be running much slicker too.

Thanks for the reminder. I tried to download this morning and wasn’t available yet.

Not happy that Recordings is at the end of the list. That’s more buttons to press to get to the features I use the most. Live TV is a new tab.

I would prefer the order:
Home >> Recordings >> Live TV >> Apps >> Store.

Eagle Bay 4.4 is much better so far. Looks very flash now but it will take some time to adapt to the change.

Yesterday I had app tiles for Spotify & TikTok. Today they are gone.

Looks very similar to the Foxtel Now interface, with a smaller menu right at the top.

I’ve played around with the features now. I think the addition of Live TV is good and the Apps and Store sections work well.

The big frustration is the “Recordings” section. Firstly, as mentioned above it has been relegated to the last spot which is a lot of extra buttons to press to get there.

Then once you’re in there, you now have the latest programs recorded shown as tiles. However, when you click on the tile, the recording doesn’t just start. You’re sent to the “All Recordings” menu and the program is highlighted but you need to select it again to start it. This is stupid.

If you want to go to the “All Recordings” menu directly, you need to step down through two rows of tiles to the All Recordings button. This is stupid too.

They should have the “All Recordings” button at the top followed by the two rows of program tiles below that.

Yes. I filled out survey and gave this feedback.

Hopefully, they fix it. The tiles look pretty but this feature is now worse than it was before.

You get a free movie from the Store for completing the survey.

It’s usually the way with major upgrades, and when things get moved around, when they really shouldn’t.

Yes. I remember last time around, they switched a few features around … and after feedback made some big changes to it.

Interesting how a lot of those features like My Shows and My Movies have now been dropped in this latest update, which is fine by me.

Found another problem with the new Fetch interface today. Was trying to find the TV Guide to add a new recording for a new show. Had no idea where it was now.

Finally worked out it’s in Live TV and then at the bottom of all the main channel icons. This is very annoying. So many more button presses to get to the TV Guide.

They’ve made recordings such a low priority on the box now which is not great. They should change Live TV back to TV Guide. Then move the Tv Guide button to the top above the channel icons.
