In recent years when I stay in accommodation interstate, I have had breakfast at a local cafe rather than McDonald’s.
I haven’t had breakfast at Maccas for a year.

Starting from Monday this week (July 1), the outlets at the lower ground floor of Emporium Melbourne in the CBD will open late until 9pm on Wednesdays to Sundays. Normally they follow the shopping centre’s business hours (close at 7pm on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, and 9pm on Thursday and Friday).
The original mcmuffins are normally dry these days.
When I’m traveling, I usually buy some bananas and an Up n Go for breakfast the day before and that keeps me going until lunchtime. Occasionally I’ll eat breakfast out when away.
At home, i never eat out for breakfast, always 3 Weet Bix with lite milk and a banana.
I got maccas on sunday morning and i really felt like crap afterwards. I’m travlling now and ive decied to pay for the hotel breakfast buffet instead of hunting things down
Hotel buffet breakfasts are usually nice, healthy enough if you stick to the right foods. But usually overpriced (of course).
this one is pretty good - its a hotel aimed at the business traveler so the breakfast is good, with everything from bacon and scrambled eggs to various cut fruits, pastries and cereals. its $30 a day but i get to expense it anyway
I just wish hotels here could import those amazing US waffle makers.
McDonald’s launched its new Steakhouse Stack yesterday. The burger, which has two beef patties, jack cheese and two layers of onions, is available for a limited time.
Does not look appealing to me at all. One beef patty is all any burger needs.
Not if you’re on a high protein diet!
Not if you’re on a high fat diet!
(fixed that for you)
All depends on how thin the beef patties are on a burger.
I just had the Chicken Fries as a snack at Hungry Jacks (with Garlic Aioli sauce).
They were very nice, but were lukewarm, not hot enough temperature wise. Will definitely have them again one day.
After a 20 month closure, Anglers Tavern that sits on the banks of the Maribyrnong River in Melbourne’s West is set to re-open its doors on July 18 after being inundated by the river during the October 2022 flooding event.
The business was acquired by the Australian Venue Co that same year in early 2022. Imagine operating for a few months, then having a 20 month closure due to the flooding event. I guess it’ll be hard on anyone, including those who lost their properties to rebuild and get their livelihood back on track.
Yeah i though the same. Only had them with the sweet & sour sauce. Also tried the Big Jack burger for dinner. Really liked it. Though i had a Mega Jack. Probably the size a Big Mac use to be
Construction has begun on the latest McDonald’s restaurant in Pimpama, with the fast food giant revealing what customers can expect when the doors open. Take a sneak peek inside.
Doesn’t look very inviting, does it?
