Fast Food/Takeaways and Restaurants

The former tearoom in the Dandenong Ranges where the Bavarian-themed Cuckoo restaurant laid out smorgasbords and steins for more than 65 years is up for sale.

The much-loved restaurant at 508 Mount Dandenong Tourist Road closed in 2020 during the pandemic and briefly re-opened last year under new owner Eric Walters.

Colliers agents Lucas Soccio, and James Zhuang with Bell Real Estate’s Elliot Bell are handling enquiries, and expect more than $4 million for the vacant property.

Has anybody had the Hungry Jack’s Big Mac knock off?

I’m convinved that the “Grand Big Mac” was the size the normal Big Mac use to be

Its amazing what AI can do. :stuck_out_tongue: I have never seen one of their hamburgers which remotely looks like the promo photo.

While it’s not common to have burgers that look exactly like the promos, I thought this double quarter pounder I had last year looked visually appealing. :relieved::hamburger::sparkles:

Saw the new McDonald’s store today. It’s right behind the tram stop near the corner of Collins Street. It used to be a EB Games store but had been vacant for the past couple of years.

Mass egg shortages have forced McDonald’s to change its breakfast hours as farmers across the country battle to stop the spread of bird flu

… it has made the decision to reduce its breakfast menu timing by 90 minutes to finish at 10.30am instead of midday.

Shows how little I go to McDonald’s. I thought breakfast always finished at 10:30am?

It went 24/7 for a while. But reduced back to midday finish.

I enjoy a McMuffin once in a blue moon, but everytime I have one, I feel like I don’t want to eat for the whole rest of the day.

Recently I’ve been enjoying the odd Chicken & Bacon McMuffin. Prefer that at the moment over the original McMuffins.

Sounds tempting… I’ll have to try one of those…

On the odd occasion I have a McMuffin, it’s just sausage, no egg.

usually it’s a mighty mcmuffin, but to be honest - haven’t really enjoyed maccas brekky as much as i used to, kinda preferring to go to/order in from cafes nowadays

Because cafes actually have good food that isn’t overprocessed. Quality always wins.
