Farmer Wants A Wife 2024 reaches 9.9 million

The romance, fun, drama and real love of the Seven Network’s Farmer Wants A Wife wrapped for another year last night, with the 2024 season of Australia’s favourite bush fairy tale reaching 9.9 million people across its run and dominating its timeslot.

Every episode of this year’s season was the most-watched program in its timeslot, with an average total TV audience of 1.2 million.

Hosted by Samantha Armytage with co-host Natalie Gruzlewski, Farmer Wants A Wife lifted its BVOD audience 15% year-on-year, with an average 216,000 viewers on 7plus.

Over the years, Farmer Wants A Wife has produced 10 marriages, nine long-term relationships, 27 babies and many broken hearts.

Seven’s Chief Content Officer, Entertainment Programming, Angus Ross, said: “Year in, year out, Farmer Wants A Wife captures the hearts of Australians and proves it is the place where real love grows.

“This year’s season was no exception, reaching 9.9 million people and seeing off all challengers to consistently rank #1 in its timeslot. Our thanks to all our farmers and ladies, Samantha, Natalie and everyone at Seven and Eureka Productions for making the 2024 season such a success.”

Farmer Wants A Wife is produced by Eureka Productions for the Seven Network. It will return with an all-new season in 2025.

As mentioned on Seven Network programs thread, Samantha Armytage is leaving Seven after 21 years when her contract ends this October. Natalie Gruzlewski is returning as the host of the next season of Farmer Wants a Wife.
