Eleven - Programs and Schedules

another Foxtel show goes to Network Ten. Will this mean that shows such as Veep and Game of Thrones will screen on Ten or its subchannels soon?

Foxtel has a programming deal with HBO which states shows distributed by HBO will never be shown on FTA.

but why is Sex and the City (a HBO show) still showing on Eleven?

Ten buying Foxtel’s scraps.

Probably because outside of the USA it is distributed by CBS, not by HBO/Warner Bros.

The Liberace biopic Behind The Candelabra was on Nine last night, with a HBO ident at the beginning. Presumably also distributed by a third party to Australia.

Roadshow according to this:

And according to this: http://villageroadshow.com.au/our-businesses/film-distribution#/ they have a long term program supply agreement with Channel Nine.

Weren’t you saying that Village Roadshow distributed movies had been showing up on Ten?

There have been some, yes.

Spy Kids and Ace Ventura movies, to name a few (one of the former aired on Eleven last night in fact).

Eleven will show Roseanne from season 1 episode 1 from May 6 at 10.30am. The whole entire season 1 will be screened on that Sunday. With season 1 episodes repeated throughout the week.

 If they were going to do that, then why not screen those eps before the new season starts?

Could’ve played them from 6pm Saturday night before Bondi Rescue / Attenborough as a lead in to Ambulance - can’t rate any worse than any of them.

Wonder if it will be available on Tenplay … also wonder when Malcolm in the Middle will be rescheduled.

I wrote something similar in the One thread.
Eleven has turned into an embarrassment. The idea of a network is to make money but it must be totally embarrassing propping up a channel with Fail Army, 100% Hotter and the awesome Supernatural.

The cupboard is not totally bare. They still have the rights to the short lived series No Tomorrow and may still have rights to Jane the Virgin. Shows like Instinct, 9JKL, etc Some of the shows on the main channel late night could get prime slots on a multi channel like Elementary or Man with a Plan

Have you seen what they air on 7Flix & 9Life?

I don’t think Eleven is doing too badly comparison wise if you look at the channel share, though there is definitely some improvements that could be made and it could be doing better with some new content.

But Eleven was beaten by both 7flix and 9Life respectively last week

Even though the two former channels (as you suggest) tend to rate lower, being much newer and not available in all markets.

Is there no way they could get Bob’s Burgers back now Ten is owned by CBS ? Or is Foxtel airing new seasons of it (fingers crossed they aren’t )

Systemic changes to Eleven’s line-up from Sunday week

Sunday: movie at 8:30pm (addition)

Monday: Sex and the City (addition) - from 7:30pm too (if rated M), movie at 8:30pm (moved from Tuesday). Buffy dropped

Tuesday: Rules of Engegement, Hughesy re-runs (addition)

Wednesday: Fail Army et al, movie at 8:30pm (moved from Friday)

Thursday: unchanged - Will and Grace, Sex and the City

Friday: Charmed re-runs (seen regularly afternoon/overnight) from 7pm, followed by Buffy (moved from Monday)

Charmed back in prime time? I feel like this is confirming they have the rights to the new Charmed and are getting viewers nostalgic for it?

Is it from season one? And double episodes?
