Doctor Who

Good riddance to Chibnall, I feel sorry for Jodie who (as of yet) never got a properly fleshed out Doctor or many decent stories. I’m hoping for her sake that this season and the trio of specials gives her a good final chance, but I’m not holding my breath.

I’ve been watching the repeats since they started screening on ABC TV Plus earlier this year. I’ve noticed that a lot of episodes have been missing or incorrectly labelled so that my Fetch misses recording them.

I’m up to season 10. An episode which was a Christmas special and labelled as S9.E13 on IMDB was incorrectly labelled as S10.E1 on ABC. This meant that the actual S10.E1 was then missing and did not screen. Another Christmas special labelled as S10E0 on IMDB was also missing.

Very inconsistent because some of the other specials in various seasons were also missing but others screened.

AMC Networks, which has the rights to Doctor Who in the US and Canada, has revealed the synopsis for series 13.

She’s back. The Thirteenth Doctor is returning for the thirteenth series in what is set to be a six-part Event Serial. Since their last epic battle in Revolution of the Daleks, the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) and Yaz (Mandip Gill) have been exploring the universe together but with the Doctor now questioning everything about her past there she will undoubtedly be searching for answers. This adrenalin fueled; universe-spanning series will also see an addition to the TARDIS with actor and comedian John Bishop joining the cast as Dan Lewis who will quickly learn there’s more to the Universe than he could ever believe. Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones, Broadchurch) is also set to make his debut on Doctor Who as reoccurring character, Vinder. Jacob’s new role will see him join forces with the Doctor, Yaz and Dan as the Doctor faces her biggest ever adventure. Series 13 is set to introduce some terrifying new adversaries and the return of truly iconic old enemies. Expect action, fun, scares, extraordinary new worlds as the Doctor and her friends confront a deadly evil…

Agree!
I’ve been a fan of this show for many years now but I haven’t been watching in recent years as the show lost its flare.
I had no issue with Jodie being the Doctor and was looking forward to seeing her in the role, but the stories have just been weak

Russell T Davies will return as Doctor Who’s showrunner for the series’ 60th Anniversary celebrations in 2023.
