Disney+

I would love for an entire Warner Bros + Turner + HBO back catalogue if that was possible.

As for the simpsons, that stop being good after Season 17, even South Park is awful with the Randy Marsh story arc and now PC Babies.

Several Simpsons episodes are classified M.

Well, okay, if we’re being picky.

I was specifically referring to Season 30, which is not on Disney+ Australia at present.

I wonder why Lizzie Mcguire is still on Stan as Disney+ is doing a revival show and you’d think they’d want the original show on their service.

I heard an ad on KIIS on my way to work this morning, promoting Disney+ streaming the first 29 seasons of The Simpsons. It has the voiceover guy from Seven and my first thought was it was an ad for The Simpsons classics on 7flix.

Has everybody noticed the app, while looking rather sleek, is quite useless? No ability to resume shows where you left off or view ‘my list’ on the home page that I can find.

They’ve gone full on with streaming ads on radio this week.

Nova has a Disney+ and The Simpsons ads, as well as reads by the newsreader

Also, huge push for Stan this week with promos for all their Aussie Original content over summer and ones featuring on air hosts Fitzy & Wippa and Kate, Tim & Marty.

That list by Dan Barrett is great, shows Disney+ actually has quite an exhaustive catalogue.

Multiple Touchstone (non-M and above rated) movies are there too Sister Act, 10 Things I Hate About You, Never Been Kissed, etc.

Couldn’t spot this on his list though (a quilty pleasure fave) Jungle to Jungle from 1997:

appears to be on the US version but not down under. Awful film and very dated in a lot of its tropes.

Martin Short cracked me up in this, him and Allen are two of Disney’s old ‘go to’ people. Re-united for 2006’s “Santa Clause 3” where Short played Jack Frost, was just as cringe.

I do have a soft spot for that movie, haven’t watched it in years and year, but I find Tim Allen shows/movies are like comfort food - i always enjoy what he does.

Overall, in terms of the content I’m actually a bit disappointed… the content is decent don’t get me wrong… but ALOT is aimed directly at kids and the adult content is all Marvel/Star Wars. It would have been nice to see some ABC Studio titles from yesteryear and today shows like Home Improvement, Black-ish, Fresh off the boat are a few titles that immediately spring to mind…

In terms of content available in AU vs US I think our catalouge is actually pretty good - there are more MCU titles on the AU version, there are more Star Wars titles on the AU version etc etc.

How about shows like Modern Family? Desperate Housewives? Are they on Disney+ or likely to be added?

yep, there are a few more that should be added… i’m sure there’s dozens and dozens of shows like that which could be added to the platform -, broad appeal etc etc.

Given it’s being marketed as family entertainment service I would doubt DH or the likes would appear.

I think 20C Fox’s existing licencing agreements globally make it a little tricky for Disney+ to provide all Fox content at present, as articles have mentioned (hence there’s only a few select blockbusters like Avatar, Simpsons, Home Alone)

Nope. Disney have stated from the beginning that Disney+ would be catering to families with all their adult stuff being shown elsewhere. Such as Hulu in the US.

That is annoying. Probably won’t be signing up then.

Will Scrubs eventually be available on Disney+?
