Wish 9 would get rid of the SD feeds of Go and Gem at the very least to give 9HD a bit more bandwidth. Rain and smoke made the Origin broadcast look terrible.

I think that @WAtvVideos can probably clarify but I donât think that you can suddenly become VAST ready if only one broadcaster withdraws from a region.
As for Starlink, they are probably using some kind of internet already ether itâs NBNâs Skymuster or Starlink.

The government already made that determination after Ten Mildura was switched off, in that if a market was âservice deficientâ (didnât have local terrestrial transmissions of all 5 networks) then residents within that market were eligible for VAST.

I agree with you, Why donât you Telephone during Business Hours or Write a Letter to Nine about Switching off their Standard Definition Signals of 9go and 9gem for More HD Bandwidth.
Starlink is an internet provider providing internet via its own satellite system (not Skmuster). Other carries, e.g. Telstra, also sell a Starlink based internet service. People who access FTA TV via Starlink are just accessing it over the internet (e.g. via 9Now, ABC iView, etc.).
With the service deficiency provision, does anyone know if people in affected areas are entitled to the entire suite of VAST commercial services (that is, in the case of Mildura, access to Imparja and Seven Central as well as Ten Central), or just the commercial service that is unavailable terrestrially?

So why not take the opportunity to change Peach/Comedy to HD in metro areas at the same time? Stupid 10.
I think it would be cheaper to remove all traces of MPEG-2 SD than revamp the entire marketing for all these multiâs AGAIN.

I donât think there is any way for them to restrict the channels as Mildura probably just gets the remote central/eastern VAST channels.

This is a hypothetical situation of how the channel list would play out on TVs that receive both the South East and West Vic. stations after 30th of June. Noet that I have not included 10âs upcoming revamp because we do not know how these channels are going to look on WIN, only the O&O 10 (QLD, VIC etc.)

10 Peach was always a silly name for a TV channel.
10 Comedy is a better name, as is 10 Drama, although I didnât mind the name 10 Bold.

Itâs entirely possible. Theyâd have to set up another bouquet for it and apply that to the smart card when they activate. Doubt theyâd bother though.

This is what comes when you click VAST for Mildura on My switch and it seems like they have updated it as it says that itâs now available to everyone in the Mildura region.

That seems to confirm that youâll get ALL commercial networks on VAST in Mildura, not just Ten.

Looks like they found the password to open the database that runs the site to make that update. Now they can update the 12 year old channel icons (ABC2 and Eleven, lol) and lists of available channels while theyâre at it.
