The dead giveaways that it will be Tik Tok are now on air on DAB in Sydney…
Placeholder station name is still ‘Coming Soon’ … and has the sub text ‘Ooooooo… what is it?’.
There is now a promo saying a “A Revolution is coming… A Revolution in radio”…
And features the sound of a ticking clock.
And it starts 6am Tuesday.

This new DAB+ Radio station that’s been programmed to air right now on a placeholder launch loop interests me for a couple of reasons first being that by the looks of things this new DAB+ station is only being programmed to air into the Sydney and Perth markets and if this is being programmed to air using ARNS DAB+ bitrates then this could potentially be ARN programming to air this new DAB station through a sponsorship deal with either tiktok or Spotify

Can I just pipe in to say how stupid it is to segregate music into decades? The flagship stations already struggle with variety in their playlists so why make it worse?
