A licky boom boom down the dial?
Someone carted the wrong See You AgainâŚ
What should it have been then?
Thanks, but that goes to show the lack of attention to detail at Hit.
Surely whoever is scheduling the music should know that Miley Cyrus isnât R&B?
Regardless of whether itâs R&B, that song goes very hard.
U Canât Touch This M.C. Hammer - ABC Local Radio QLD
Part of a very eclectic countdown of songs about touch. (Following song was Touch Me by The Doors).
Reminds of when Dave Gleeson did a âClassic 9 at 9â on Triple M a few weeks back about songs relating to the 5 senses (sight, sound, smell, taste and touch).
Number 1 was XTCâs âSenses Working Overtimeâ.
Hit 104.7 played Coldplayâs "A Sky Full of Starsâ a few hours ago, except the station log claimed it was âColdplay feat. Avicii - A Sky Full of Stars (Remix)â. Did they end up playing the version with an extra guitar bit added before the second verse (which is usually labelled as an âAvicii remixâ on YouTube) or was it just the regular one?
And Avril mustâve been happy to have her pants around her feet then
On the Kat Feeney afternoon shift?
I hope she didnât make things too complicated!
This morning, a song (WILD by Troye Sivan) on Hit 104.7 got interrupted by Doja Catâs âPaint The Town Redâ (which had previously played before an ad break) and you could actually hear the engineer âfast-forwardingâ through the song (in small intervals) before starting up âWIlDâ again.
They should have just switched straight back to âWildâ⌠very odd.
At 1:50 PM, I heard âWhat you waiting forâ by Gwen Stefani following âDonât Speakâ by No Doubt on Triple M Newcastle (and Regionals) as part of Double Shot Tuesday. Iâve heard the Regionals mostly play No Doubtâs stuff from their âTragic Kingdomâ album as they are mostly flogged, but since this itâs the regional version of Triple M, this is the first time Iâve heard them play Gwen Stefaniâs solo stuff from her debut album âLove.Angel.Music.Baby.â
The other day I heard âHyper-balladâ by Bjork blasting out of speakers in a shopping centre carpark, of all places Very unexpected.
Was it otherwise Oh So Quiet? Or was there An Army Of you?
Havenât heard her on the radio since the early 90s, even then she didnât get much airplay here. Her music definitely not mainstream of course.
still better than yoko ono
Logan 101 introduced the next song a See My Baby Jive, a favourite of mine. However, instead, they played Good Morning (How Are You) by the Moir Sisters. Not quite in the same class! The announcer could be heard briefly over the song at one point as well; not sure what he said.
BTW that was the song the BTQ 7 opened transmission with every day back in the day.
It seems the playout was bewitched by a Wizzard.
