Did They Really Just Play That?

They only missed by one day!

There’s another song that belongs in the ā€œOh ,No ,Not that Song Again ā€œ thread for mešŸ‘Ž

Savage Garden- To The Moon & Back

Radio Caroline (UK) just now. Not the most obvious choice for an album rock station but I agree this song works in that format. ā€˜I Want You’ and ā€˜Break Me, Shake Me’ would also be fine.

Just no Truly Madly Deeply…please

Easily the duo’s best song. I find the instrumental work to be particularly outstanding, the entrance of the guitar at the beginning immediately segueing to the drums admittedly still gives me chills.

I prefer ā€˜Break Me, Shake Me’ but it’s still a good song.
ā€˜The Animal Song’ is one I quite like too.

Though I have to admit when I first heard ā€˜To The Moon And Back’ that it was a female singing!

I heard ā€œWhen the madness stops, then you will pay the loanā€ on ā€˜Break Me, Shake Me’.

I’ve been listening a bit to Caroline lately - it’s good.

It’s funny I get the impression that Savage Garden are viewed a bit differently in the UK than they are here, or even the US. Can’t quite put my finger on it, I don’t think they were quite as big generally for a start.

Since BBC had the daft idea of pulling its mp3/AAC streams, my legacy internet radio can’t play BBC R2, so Caroline is the best choice from the UK. I prefer the album rock format anyway, even if some of the selections are British only hits.

Torn - Natalie Imbruglia

Right Now on Triple M ā€˜Nights With Dave Gleeson’

Ha! I heard that song on Triple M Newcastle 102.9 FM last week or so.

I can understand the regional Ms playing it since they don’t have a ā€˜rock’ format like the metro stations do.

It’s unusual for a song like that to be heard on the metro Triple M stations though.

4KQ played it (Torn) and Brent James continues flogging it so far on 4BC.

Thankfully the end of the music may be near on 4BC.

mate they play that POS at least three times a day.

Like I said on Facebook recently, Triple M Regional, and its MD on the Gold Coast, think Ed Sheeran’s ā€œSingā€ and Callum Scott’s ā€œDancing on My Ownā€ are new songs, and they play 90s garbage like Imbruglia and Tal Bachman several times a day.

Pathetic.

I :100: agree with the above. Have they cut their playlist in half recently?
Other artists they flog the same songs to death are Billy Joel, Michael Jackson and Phil Collins.
I am finding the regional Triple M is becoming unlistenable.

Regional MMM - Awesome 80s is a brand we’re proud of and play it all day and night every Friday.

That is until… :man_facepalming:

The 80’s log before it seems pretty good, but TBH not a fan of the ā€˜Triple M’s Version’ Taylor Swift covers. It just looks like them jumping on the bandwagon.

And just nearly three hours ago Triple M Newcastle played ā€œTributeā€ by Tenacious D to promote their tour since they are performing at Newcastle Entertainment Center in July.

Metros.

I actually don’t mind that song.
