Are you hungry for another Deal Or No Deal Celebrity Jackpot Special? On Monday, 28 April, host Grant Denyer welcomes MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow as she takes on the Banker, hoping to win big for charity.

Ahead of the premiere of MasterChef Australia: Back To Win, Poh is trading Mystery Boxes for a mystery golden suitcase, and will need all the luck she can cook up in the hopes of winning $100,000 for her chosen charity.

Poh is playing on behalf of Yalari, an organisation that provides young Indigenous people from regional and remote communities with scholarships for their entire secondary education.

Will the Banker serve this chef a deal worth taking?

I was in the audience in tonight’s episode. Halfway through the episode I didn’t think I was going to be shown in a closeup shot, but I was at the last minute in the nick of time. These screenshots are where Ph Ling Yeow had $40,000 in her case after taking a deal of $6,888.

With the return of MasterChef, everything on 10 seemed to get a lift yesterday included DOND to +300,000 its second highest result of the year.

Tonight’s episode of Deal Or No Deal was the 2nd of the 4 episodes where I was in the audience and unfortunately I was only seen in one panning shot coming back from an ad break.

Show seems to be possibly benefitting from the MasterChef halo effect. Last night saw another ep over 300k.

MasterChef seems to generate a lift in many of 10’s programs. More people watching MasterChef means more watching promos for the rest of the schedule.

Has DOND always had customised synopses for the show? Noticed tonight’s does.

Surely it’s just the onset on winter and things getting darker earlier. Always leads to slight increases for early evening
