10 need to mix up the order of episodes during the week. It’s become way too typical that Thursdays are low-prize episodes, and it seems like viewers have noticed from the lower ratings.
Deal Or No Deal Celebrity Jackpot Special. This Monday 29 July At 7.30pm On 10 And 10 Play.
She’s faced some of the toughest defenders in the world, but can Matildas striker, Kyah Simon, beat the Banker?
Deal Or No Deal has reached celebrity status, and now it’s the Matildas turn to tackle the Deal Or No Deal Celebrity Jackpot Special.
This Monday, lining up for the chance to win $250,000 for her chosen charities – ParaMatildas and ParaRoos, Australia’s national men’s and women’s teams for athletes with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, or symptoms from stroke – is Matildas’ champion, Kyah Simon.
With her game face on, Kyah has invited to the podium CommBank ParaMatildas Captain, Carly Salmon, CommBank ParaRoo, Jeremy Boyce, and 23 of their nearest and dearest fans.
The all-star affair continues with Matildas’ Lydia Williams and Caitlin Foord also on hand to lend their support.
With Grant Denyer taking on the role as coach, referee and commentator, can Kyah use that signature determination and strategic mindset to outsmart the Banker and strike gold?
Expect high-stakes, high-tension and high-octane fun on Monday’s Deal Or No Deal Celebrity Jackpot Special.
It was a pretty exciting episode with Kyah Simon tonight.
It went down to the wire with two cases left: $35,000 and $100,000. The bank offered just over $50,000. Kyah said No Deal so Grant opened the case (No. 17, the same number as Kyah’s Matildas shirt) and it was $35,000. With two correct guesses, the total amount raised for the ParaRoos and ParaMatildas was $37,000.
Tom was given a chance to get an extra 7k but that was probably because he’s bank offers were low (I think less than $10k when that happened). He also had 6 correct guesses in his episode and raised an extra $13k.
According to the promo shown tonight, in the Gogglebox episode next Monday, Lee and Keith, Anastasia and Faye, and Tim and Leanne all had turns on the podium picking cases. Could it be three separate games?
All the Melbourne-based Goggleboxers were represented: Lee and Keith, Anastasia and Faye, Tim and Leanne, the Dalton family, Symon Lovett, and Kerry Silbery.
EDIT: the game started with Lee and Keith. Halfway through the show, the banker asked for the couple to switch with Anastasia and Faye. With six cases to go, the banker asked for Tim and Leanne to go to the podium, replacing Anastasia and Faye.
By the time Tim and Leanne were on the podium, the only large amount case left was $75,000. Four lucky guesses later it was down to two cases: $5 and $75,000. The siblings accepted the bank offer of $37,111. With five correct guesses during the whole game, the total amount raised was $42,111.
EDIT 2: According to TV Tonight’s David Knox, the other three episodes would air in September.
