Deal or No Deal

Just saw the last two minutes tonight before The Project. What the heck is going on with the bank offers?

$30,000 and $75,000 left. The bank offers $30,001.

What a joke! It makes the program pretty boring as there’s no risk involved for the contestant to say No Deal. It really ruined the tension IMO.

I’m glad others enjoy this version, but it’s very manufactured compared with the Channel Seven version.

That’s the first time I’ve seen an offer like that. I don’t think that is a normal offer for this version. Seemed a bit odd.

You’ve only watched 2 minutes and calling it manufactured?

This episode is an odd one out. I’ve never seen the banker low ball them like that… Incredibly odd choice to offer $1 higher than the lowest case.

In saying that, the banker was low balling them most of tonight’s episode.

Lizzy Hoo was seen holding a briefcase in the latest promo for Tom’s episode. Were there other comedians who participated in the filming?

I think I saw Dilruk Jayasinha holding a case … it might have been from Tom’s ep or another ep

This is hilarious and far more watchable for me than the 6pm version. The celeb comedians in the front row is a masterstroke - I really like the banter and Tom is a great contestant.

I think this could work with comedians as an 8.30pm show for Mondays in Q1 next year before HYBPA comes back.

The $35,000 is a nice amount. But it makes me miss the Car :red_car:

It is nice to see that the money won by correctly guessing the case he or she is holding, is going to the celebrity’s chosen charity.

The show was hilarious with Grant and Tom bouncing off each other. Interesting to see if the quality can be reproduced for the other specials.

The amount of $42,999 included bank offer of $29,999, plus $6000 for six correct guesses by briefcase holders ($1000 for each guess), and $7000 for Tom saying nice words for each of the seven comedians in the front row ($1000 for each comedian).

Pleasantly surprised to see the show top 600,000 doing better than Seven’s 7.30 show and Nin and ABC’s 8pm offerings.
