All this talk about healthy ratings and I have a look and it rated 280,000 last night.
Nearly a million behind Seven News which was roughly how far behind Ten News 6pm was.
I agree that this show would do better without The Project as a leadout.

Must be a cult then.
They should trial a 7:30pm Sunday night celebrity DND… might give it some further exposure!
7 did celebrity editions and primetime specials during its original run. I do like DoND which is popular here on MS
Some of the regular crossovers included Dancing with the Deals and My Kitchen Deals, among others.
If there was to be a crossover on the 10 iteration, I’d say there would be one with MasterChef.
Anh Do was the only celebrity to win $200,000. He gave the prize to a home viewer

Damn the banker was very evil in tonight’s episode by not giving the contestant $800 or a Megaguess after she had an unlucky game.
On last night’s episode the banker gave the contestant who was having an unlucky game an opportunity to swap their case with any unopened case to try and win $50,000.
I think this is a Deal First, Usually they’re would be 1 Player Playing the Game with Grant. But there’s 2 are Playing the Game with the Twin Girls at the Top End of the Podium Holding Cases #15 and #16 Respectively.
I Just Cannot Believe How Very Evil the Banker Was they Knocked Out the $75,000 Behind Briefcase #8. Briefcase #9 had the Top Prize of $100,000.
Evil or thrifty?
Good to see sidegames at the end of the show to make the show exciting and entertaining. It has grown on me
It was their fault for taking a massive risk. They turned down $12,000.
Damn tonight’s contestant was very unlucky
DOND AU starting in NZ on TVNZ 1 tomorrow from 4:30pm weekdays. Going head to head with Tipping Point AU which debuts at 4:05 on TVNZ2.
Does The Chase Australia air in New Zealand, or do they only have The Chase UK on TVNZ1?
I realise 10 have probably spent the amount of money and negotiated rates with advertisers that justifies prime time.
However what if they were to try RSC and DOND in day time, like they used to be? Say Neighbours 3:30pm (and encore Peach 6:30pm), RSC 4pm, Bold 4:30pm, news 5pm, extended Project from 6pm?
Boost those lead-ins and get some better flow happening. At least it’d benefit something and their 7:30pm realities are, largely, holding their own especially key demos. Rather than seemingly wasting RSC and DOND* where they are now.
(* acknowledging DOND has slowly been growing in its 6pm timeslot and is doing ok for 10 standards and comparatively vs Project… But still).
Or… Wild suggestion… They’d never move 5pm news but considering it’s far from what it used to be, why not truncate to 30min and have a 3-way 5:30pm game show battle with Deal
TCA airs on TVNZ Duke twice weekdays, one at around 11:45am (usually the beginning of the Duke schedule for the day) and then another at 4pm. However, the show is usually one of the ones to be commonly preempted by sports coverage (e.g White Ferns cricket) so it doesn’t air every weekday.
And to add to what LiamP said, it’s been aired on four different channels in NZ without much ratings success compared to the UK one which rates its socks off.
UK one is much better than Aus one tbh.
