Deal or No Deal

Very healthy ratings for DoND and the game show genre is alive and well in this country.

Sorta gives a good sign for Wheel of Fortune coming later this year. Aussies liking the game show format.

I watched the 32nd episode and there was a Megaguess!

$500 mega guess

Was it up or not?

If it can’t build on those results it needs to be flipped.

And the return of the 2003-2013 bank offer siren

What’s next? the return of The Supercase? the return of Double Or Nothing? and the return of Chance?

I’m sure those features will gradually make a return

You can’t blame Deal or No Deal for the Project which skews very left and is polarising, which would no doubt cause at least 50% of viewers to switch elsewhere. So they don’t have much audience to capitalise on anyway.

DND is a fun program, it should be leading into a proper news bulletin or program, maybe even a hit sitcom.

Ignoring my point, not interested in culture wars.

If it’s doing better than Project and Project isn’t building because of it, it should be flipped and DoND at 7.

Or even better, dump The Project completely, introduce a gameshow hour and start the entertainment line up at 7pm, half an hour before Seven and Nine.

This!!!
Ten need to do this!!! Will disrupt the market which is what they used to be great at. May force seven to move on home and away and nine on ACA or at least cause some damage.

May even force some oldies off seven/nines 6pm news and into tens 5pm news so they can watch the game shows from 6-7.

I personally like the project (not all the hosts) and think it should follow their prime time at 9/9.30pm as an entertainment skewed show fronted by comedians that could then lead into their late news.

There. Schedule sorted.

Didn’t they do it around 2012 when The Project was one hour at 6pm, and when most of the major primetime shows failed?

Deal is also not doing better then The Project. The highest Deal episode since launch (on Monday) was still beaten by The Project that day.

Yep, didn’t work.

Until 10 can sort out 730/830 all year i wouldnt go axing the show thats no1 for them in the demos. Its still behind where it used to be, but unfortunately they still have more troublesome gaps.

With DOND, if 10 are getting program sponsors and spot buyers are happy with its ratings & coming on board for their target audience (such as 25-54s) and its helping pay for the show’s budget (format rights and external production costs) if not washing its face or even making a small profit… Then that’s probably good enough for 10. Not everything is about pure ratings or promoting network shows/boosting lead-ins, they’re also still in the business of generating money.

Better to be Safe than Sorry for Ash Taking the Deal for $11,890 because she had the $100,000 Top Prize all the Way Through from Briefcase #17. The Case that Ashlyn has Chosen.

I Just Hope and Pray that in Future Episodes of the New Deal or No Deal with Grant Denyer that someone who Says No Deal to the Final Offer from the Banker and Walks Away $100,000 Richer.

Let us be clear. DOND is not a religion.

so i’ve been building a shrine of the banker for nothing?! :stuck_out_tongue:
