There’s a big chance this show will settle to below the news at 6 ratings.
you’re a lot more optimistic than I am.
Perhaps that is in the new system of “peak total TV” (national)?
Getting a headache with this new system before it’s even begun
I think Deal’s total reach will settle next week at around 36 million viewers
Will it go better in the demos though?
I guess we will never know.
- meant on the old system
The demos most favoured to this would be older I assume? I then thought they would all be watching the news as part of their regular routine. All the old folks love Denyer.
The older folks seem to watch a 5pm game show, news, then finish off with ACA.
10s issue might be that people don’t even know about this show, which goes to the next point around the dwindling viewership of the entire network become a problem launching new content.

I must say I don’t like the vibe of the set, much too dark. The original had the balance of the set about right.
Was just thinking the same, also not enough pieces/detail as the original, too small and yeah the colour scheme not as golden/bright
Where is it filmed? It looks like a much smaller studio.
Docklands Studios Melbourne
Just like in the Family Feud days, Deal or No Deal will be on 10, 10 BOLD and 10 Peach at 6pm tonight in a triple roadblock.
Not surprised they’re using this tactic again, I know it’s to give the show the most exposure possible but it also shows a real lack of confidence in the product too.
As well, the reach figure in the new OzTAM ratings will inevitably drive that figure higher with the extra channels.
Expecting a reach of 900k and audience of 200k
I hope it’s just something done for the first week - yes give it a bump in exposure, but the viewers lose if they have less choice
I would have been watching Bold at 6pm tonight.
Will need to look elsewhere, which means 10 has lost yet another viewer tonight.
What the fuck does that even do? People would want to watch it on a high definition channel not a stand definition multi channel.
it allows for as many viewers as possible to help promote their new show across all 10 platforms
(well that’s the idea, anyway, but it’s yet to be seen if it actually works, or has the opposite effect)
also if the average viewer is like my mum, they don’t care whether the channel is in HD or not
