why are you asking me?
Oh, I just tagged you because I thought you might know something, being a historian and Melburnian, Barnes is a well known EP in Melbourne TV over decades, especially game shows in more recent times, as well as working with Denyer and Ten.
You’re the media spy oracle
Sorry I can’t assist, i have no idea what Ms Barnes is up to.
Much later than what I was expecting.
I think Tipping Point is recorded in South Melbourne
So it looks like the revival has 22 cases.
It was the biggest numbered case I could see in the promo, so you could be right. That would put it in line with the number of boxes used in the UK version of the show.
Seven’s version of DOND was filmed at South Melbourne (now NEP Studios).
Is this also where Seven’s version of The Weakest Link was also filmed? Just asking.
That ad is incredibly lame
Cheese factor x10
Did anyone notice the subtle football nod?
I was going to say, looks like they’re retaining most (if not all) of the set and graphics that existed from the Seven iteration. I was thinking they could’ve reused some elements from the UK version:
Correct.
On my end, I wonder what the top prize will be - could it be $200,000 again, like it was on the original version?
$100k apparently.
That promo comes across as really daggy to me. Nothing about it screams modern or contemporary, not helped by the fact that the song originally came out 40+ years ago.
… but won’t share the same success or ratings!
$100,000 like the UK format which has a top prize GBP100,000
Yes but in Australian that’s about $200,000AUD
Wow that promo.
Cheesy AF. What a turn off.
Can’t imagine that promo making anyone want to watch
10 does it again
