Dancing with the Stars

I’d be watching!!

Does anyone else think DWTS: All-Stars is going to struggle in the ratings for the same reason Holey Moley and TAR currently are (ie; scheduling a show which isn’t meant to be stripped across multiple nights each week)?

DWTS is designed to be a big once-a-week live event. Similar to Holey Moley, it’s not a format which is expansive enough for the current Australian commercial FTA TV programmer mindset of having tentpole programs air 3 - 4 nights a week

Well said.

Hopefully it’s restricted to Sunday nights, and then a different Seven reality program could air either Mondays and Tuesdays, or Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I am actually thinking the opposite. I think the multiple episodes a week will work better for it. Having it over in 2-3 weeks. Also it means most of 7’s audience will be able to finish the series, those 80 year olds are always unsure whether they will get to finish what they started :stuck_out_tongue:

Even if he just makes an appearance it would be big.

I’d love to see Luke Jacobz on the show. He couldn’t dance for quids when he started, and even had Todd saying something like ‘Welcome to Dancing with the Stars’ when he reached round five and started to get it together. Awesome achievement to go on and win the series.

I think 10 dragged it on too much. It was boring, the 2 weeks will be good. I think 7 are taking a page out of 10’s book with the all-stars season, like 10 did with MasterChef last year.

Holey Moley would’ve worked as a 2-3 times a week show (at a shorter duration) but a show like DWTS sure as heck wouldn’t.

They need to pair it up with something else like Farmer wants a Wife which would be compatible and gives Seven plenty of content during the week instead of running dead from Wednesday onwards.

Just saw a promo for DWTS on the 7plus live feed in Melbourne.

It confirmed that the show will run for two weeks. It basically showed a whole lot of old footage of former celebs dancing in the show.

EDIT: Just read a few posts up this thread and saw that @JohnsonTV already mentioned that the show will go for two weeks.

10’s version of DWTS dragged out for weeks with the finale in April

Lol. Most people complain that our networks strip formats and run shows multiple nights per week, but when they only air a series once a week like it’s intended, you complain and say they dragged it out

lol. Damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

Two weeks of DWTS may be quick and rushed, and something we have never experienced before for the show. I’ll certainly give it a watch. Its one of the rare “realities” i dont mind watching

Yes the ad was posted in this thread quite some time ago.

One and the same?

Cosentino (who won season 13 of DWTS with Jessica Raffa in 2013) has told the Herald Sun he knocked back Seven’s offer to complete in the All Stars version, saying the network needed a seven week commitment and “we couldn’t come to an agreement that was beneficial to both”.

What are they thinking

His cringeworthy moments and comments will make Holey Moley a high quality show in comparison.

His cringeworthy moments worked when he originally hosted DWTS and the show was highly popular. Knew that hete for him wpuld be quick. Lol. He is one of the presenters going around that you either hate him or love him. No middle grounds. Lkl.

Fifi Box has joined the cast.
