Global phenomenon Dancing With The Stars has been reimagined for 2021 as a world-first, blockbuster event featuring fan favourites, flashbacks and spectacular surprises over two action-packed weeks.
Some of the most popular and entertaining stars from the iconic series are heading back to the ballroom, ready for their second shot at the coveted mirror ball trophy.

It’s alright.
10 did a much better job at their promos.
Visually, it looks quite good and glossy but the reliance on old footage is quite the tradition at Seven, who seems to love rehashing footage and passing it off as ‘promo’
Still not the biggest fan of them doing an ‘All-Stars’ season when most of the ‘stars’ who were on Seven’s version have become irrelevant to this show. I’d rather them to replicate (or even go beyond) 10’s production values and go for new celebrities (given a lot of people in media and entertainment are probably still looking for work) instead of re-hashing the same old people who were on the show 6 years ago.

Agreed. Missed opportunity there I reckon,
I’d say it’s due to the naming convention and licensing.
To bring it back a year after it was shown on a rival network for a few seasons after you let it go when it reached the end of its cycle says otherwise.
Network PR is such hyperbole.

If it didn’t do well for 10 , then how’s it going to do any better on 7 . Just because it’s on 7 it will rate better?
its only 2 weeks, filler content, i’m surprised there is any production value to the promo at all.
thats what i would have thought, but looking thru some of the old promos, a lot of these people are still around. albeit some of them only because they have done other reality shows more recently. its the AFL players and olympians that were big names at the time but have since faded, and there are 1 or 2 each season that were complete nobodies at the time and still are.
stranger things have happened. I didn’t like the idea of it coming back if it was a normal season, but i think a 2 week special is appropriate. then if it is a flop and we never see it again then the series has a decent conclusion.

Wonder who the contestants will be and how many? You’d presume if it’s “all stars”, they’d have to be stars who finished in maybe the top 3 of their series.
I think it’ll just be the most popular contestants. So a lot of them would be top 3.

some of the early eliminations have been the most memorable, like Mark Holden, Brynne Edelsten, and red symons.
if its just 2 weeks i’m imagining a euroviosion type format, 2-3 heat episodes, then a final. There would be about 200 ex-contestants, maybe they could get 27 to return? so 3x heats of 9 contestants.
