Osher and Susie are good signings, not sure i’m a fan of them signing Carvalho and Usher.

I mean, looking at the rest of the cast - it’s probably one of their best ever.

So putting in a couple of your news presenters from your two biggest markets, on one of your most successful shows, is a pretty decent idea. Particularly in Melbourne.

And it follows a long history of this in the early years - Sam Armytage and also Chris Bath.

Excellent cast - I know 80-90% of the names without having to think too hard… and the rest are relatively known too.

It is a pretty strong cast this year. Shaun, Rebecca and Osher are big names and there are two Olympians as well. Many AFL fans will be familiar with Trent.

Not sure why they need to sign up two newsreaders when only one will do.

Just echoing what others have said - a good list of celebs this time around. Getting Osher is a nice surprise.

I do like the two newsreaders - but having two on DWTS is one too many. Hope to be proven wrong though.

No surprises that a Home and Away star is on it. As for Mia Fevola - she joins the show after her dad Brendan Fevola (AFL Star) was on the show in 2012.

Not exactly sure she was “early” years was she? IIRC around 2011 or 2012. By then, Somers had well and truly gone and the show wasn’t even a mega hit anymore.

Chris Bath however, was, 2005 I think, so Season 4 or prior. Back when it was so big that Seven would run two seasons per year, stopped though after 2006 or 2007 or by the time their City Homicide star Daniel MacPherson started hosting after the Beijing Olympics.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was more budget driven than struggling to get a cast. They have some very big names.

Am I the only one who thinks these all-in sit-downs are just a tad OTT? First on Sunrise yesterday, then essentially the same on TMS this morning and again on the National Noon News with Sally Bowry just before. And in all isn’t news but rather a self-plug for an upcoming show.

Couldn’t the Sunrise one have been fine and they could’ve just pushed that one on 7Plus and social media, including showing snippets in other shows for those who might’ve missed.

Also thinking of the talent, yes even though publicity was probably part of their agreements for DWTS, but some being flown interstate and having to do at least 3 of these very similar interviews possibly back-to-back-to-back, no doubt tedious. On top of 6pm news plugs as well.

What’s the bet we’re going to see more of them on the Afternoon News!

I understand milking this show for what its worth, but not this early on. Should have spread the Morning Show interview to later in the week. And news coverage to a bare minimum.
