Dr Chris Brown hosting alongside Sonia Kruger for DWTS? Not a big surprise there really. Their chemistry at the Logies Red Carpet must have paid off then?

I reckon his Logies performance this year was the end.

Thank goodness. Chris is 100x more likeable than Daryl. Also means no more Hey Hey it’s 200 Years :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Let’s hope they can bring back the same judging panel from this year. They were great.

Daryl is from a different generation and time. He was a great presenter and talent in his day. But in saying that, he does connect well with the older audience that follows this show.

Daryl was good as host in the early years of DWTS. He has a hiatus and returned in 2021 as the host of the “All-Stars” edition. Which was okay for nostalgic reasons. But the last two seasons, he really didn’t add much to the show. His Logies “gag” was the nail in the coffin.

TLDR: I’ve been sacked because I tried doing everything that worked so well for me 40 years ago today when people have moved on and don’t have taste. Oh well, more Hey Hey specials for me next year (said no one ever).

Or he can host “the best of Gold Logie presentations” and reshow his so called “sketch” over and over again for an hour, with different speakers retelling their recounts of that night… :stuck_out_tongue:

2024 Upfronts

The stars and the sequins will hit the dance floor again in 2024 – and Sonia Kruger will welcome a brand-new co-host: Dr Chris Brown. Together, Sonia, Chris and our expert judges will keep the stars spinning, rhumba-ing and two-stepping. The hit series was hot in 2023, with its audience up 10% year-on-year, including a 19% lift in 18 to 39s, and reached almost seven million people. Dancing With The Stars is produced by BBC Studios Australia and New Zealand for the Seven Network, from a format created by the BBC and distributed by BBC Studios.

I think this will be the last we see of Daryl on Seven.

To be honest, he did have a good run on DWTS, over the years, with mostly good ratings with Somers as host. But we can all agree that has time has run its course…

They are announcing “the most controversial” celebrity first with Ben Cousins, to hype up the new season.

A shame that Todd McKenny isn’t returning as judge for this season.

I hope Dr Chris Brown does a good job hosting this .
