Nine News Late special bulletin
A rare event tonight - when Seven, Nine and 10 all have a Late News bulletin on a Friday night - all at the same time.
Josh Holt doing the weather report on 10’s bulletin.
Mentioned on air that there are problems with 91.7 FM GC fading in an out. Advice was 612 (no mention of digital radio).
Yeah. Probably bring someone like Lachlan Kennedy to be on standby in case something happens. I reckon Josh will be working over the weekend so he could present it if they don’t want to bring someone else in.
Welcomed NSW viewers a couple of minutes before welcoming Victorian viewers despite VIC joining at the same time.
Some markets had regular programming or were stuck for hours once decided to play.
GTV-9 LCN 90 (Melbourne) finishing off 2008 movie Marley & Me
Usher is such a good presenter of rolling coverage.
As good as Max Futcher is and he has been for decades, I remember his reporting on Melbourne’s record floods back in 2005 when he worked at Ten News Melbourne… He really needs to retreat fully back inside the room for the remainder of his live-crosses and stay safe. Getting dangerous out there
Pieces of flying sheet metal very close to him just before on his Gold Coast concourse! Scary stuff.
Watching this on tv when you are in the middle of it feels so weird.
I saw him do a cross from the stairs at the front of their building on the GC. I went and streamed something. Came back an hour later and Max was back doing and saying the same thing.
He has still managed to keep his hair dry though. Only ‘braves’ the outdoors when filming for Instagram. Some bizarre stuff.
Team are staying at the studios (Usher half-joked that it’s too dangerous to leave) and will be back on air with any developments prior to Sunrise
Given the risk of trees falling on the mountain, he’s not wrong.
I saw that. The safest option for the crew or the safest option for the network to ensure staff are at work tomorrow??
Great coverage on 7 tonight. Sky News are still going if anyone is interested.
