Cyclone Alfred - Coverage

Jane Bunn… omg. She’s awful. She’s no Tony Auden.
Reading like it’s a bedtime story.

Go away Paul Murray. We don’t need you here.

Couldn’t disagree more. That report just then was excellent. I’d rather get weather reports from a real meteorologist. Tony and Jane are both great.

They just aired a promo saying “7News will remain on air”

Jane is wonderful!

This might be the first time a Sky after dark program are actually broadcasting relevant information and being on the ground in an emergency instead of offering their condolences and going back to slamming the ABC.

All it took was a cyclone aimed at Brisbane.

What she says is fine, it’s the delivery.

do we know if ABC Classic will take the cyclone coverage in BNE? theres been a few people who don’t have am radios posting in online groups, only FM

Does 9 have late news after the NRL?

But minutes later have gone to a movie?

Good question, what FM frequencies are taking coverage of importance (Nova, B105, Triple M & KIIS… especially KIIS don’t seem to be too local). Any communities taking ABC feeds?

IIRC yes

Hmmm, Are they trying to become ABC emergency? lol.

Yeah, did find that odd - just stick with network meteorologist.

So do we know what the plan for networks tomorrow is?

10s late news coming from the main set judging by the update which just aired.

Just saw the opening - damn that looks good from the main set.

7 had a special bulletin around 8:30 that was coming from Melbourne and not Brisbane which is a bit odd.

Guess Southbank Will Flood

Agree it looks good, but still pre-recorded?

Watching the premiere on YouTube and there’s no actual ad breaks, easy way to tell when they throw to a break and return straight away.

Guess there’s not much point in actually being live, given there wouldn’t really be anything that new or breaking to report on.

They mentioned on the ABC news channel that ABC radio has moved from Southbank across the river to a hotel conference room, due to expected flooding.
