Yeah unfortunately weather turned it into a pseudo T20 game
Anyone watching the test match in Pakistan at the moment.? It has been fascinating, I love test cricket.
Didn’t know it was on! But yes, I’ll put it on for a bit when i get home.
A number 11 getting a 50 can only happen in test cricket. A low possibility in a one dayer, T20 impossible.
An unbeaten 180-run partnership between Ash Gardner and Annabel Sutherland has seen Australia record a six-wicket win over England at the World Cup.
Gardner (104 not out) and Sutherland (98 not out) came together at the crease with Australia teetering at 4-68 while chasing England’s target of 245.
During the second ODI against India at Adelaide Oval this afternoon, Josh Hazlewood bowled his 10 overs finishing with 0/29. It was the most economic wicket-less spell by an Australian seamer in an ODI since 2011.
True to his name, at second place was Matthew Short with 0/23.
Australia had a narrow two-wicket win over India in the second ODI at Adelaide Oval tonight, in front of a crowd of more than 38,000. The Aussies claimed the three-match series with a match to spare, ending a streak of three consecutive series losses.
Australia’s run chase was led by Matthew Short who made 74 and Cooper Connolly with an unbeaten 61. Matt Renshaw (30) and Mitch Owen (36) also contributed. The home side reached the target with 22 balls remaining despite losing three late wickets towards the end of the innings.
Earlier, a 118-run partnership by Rohit Sharma (73) and Shreyas Iyer (61) set up India’s innings. Late hitting by Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana helped their team to 9/264 at the end of 50 overs. Virat Kohli got ducks in consecutive matches.
Adam Zampa took 4/60 from 10 overs and was named player of the match.
Also India’s first ODI defeat at Adelaide Oval since 2008.
There was a glimmer of hope for them at the end as Starc was dismissed while 5 runs were needed off 24 balls.
scorchers royalty, can’t wait for this kid to flourish for the next 15 years
lol at viral going for 2 ducks in a row, bro needs to retire ASAP
The semi finalists are Australia, South Africa, England and India.
Definitely the GOAT of limited overs matches, even more so than Lyon in tests.
Australia unstoppable in limited overs cricket at the moment no matter the gender. And we also seem to be winning every toss!
This performance screams “today doesn’t matter, we won the series anyway”.
Meanwhile India extended its ODI record earlier today with 18th straight coin toss loss.
18th in a row?!
WOW, that’s some seriously bad luck there, there’s a 1 in 262,144 chance of that happening.
India had an easy nine wicket win over Australia in the third ODI at the SCG tonight, preventing Australia’s bid for a series clean sweep. India bowled Australia out for 236 in 46.4 overs (the home side lost their final seven wickets for 53 runs), before chasing down the target in the 39th over. Rohit Sharma was named player of the match for his unbeaten 121. He put on 168 with Virat Kohli (74 not out) for the second wicket.
Curiously Rohit was also named player of the series.
The two teams now move into a five-match Twenty20 series, starting in Canberra next Wednesday night.
During Australia’s innings, a Fox Cricket stat shown on screen said that the past nine ODIs at the SCG were won by a team batting first. So Australia’s loss ended that streak.
After getting South Africa all out for 97 in 24 overs, the Australian women rush to a victory after 16.5 overs in their Woman’s World Cup match today. Apparently we will be playing India in the Semi Final, though after what’s happened to the girls this week, I personally think we really should be pulling out of the tournament and coming home. Alana King was selected as player of the match.
