A Big Ant launch is always full of bugs. Most of their games are awful sadly.

Their cricket games used to be good but then I think they tried to do so many games in quick succession that everything is buggy when launched

Maybe don’t call yourself ‘Big Ant’ if you want to be bug free…

Super International Cricket on the SNES will always be the Nathan Lyon :goat: of cricket video games. HOWZAAAT!

Australia were in deep trouble at 7/76 in the 22nd over, before Mooney revived the innings, adding 39 runs with Kim Garth (11) then putting on a 106-run stand with Alana King (51 not out, the highest score for a player batting at No.10 or lower in women’s ODIs). Mooney was dismissed on the final ball of the innings.

Here’s an idea for Cricket Australia. Schedule BBL for Oct-Nov then Test Series after this and finally at the end of January early Feb have a 20/20 Tri-series which CA should have it on during the Australian Open they’ve given Tennis Australia a free ride for the last 15-20 Years.Did the Tri-Series rate well up against the Australian Open for all those years for Channel 9?

I don’t know if broadcasters would be happy. They have a deal until 2031. So CA would want to keep them happy

Like 7 would want to keep their nightly summer sport during Dec/January and also offer competition vs Aus Open. They don’t need BBL in October/November. Also, Fox probably likes having their exclusive ODI & T20 to begin the cricket summer as people would resub to kayo or get Fox to watch cricket from Oct/Nov & keep it for the entire summer.

there is also venue availability and also that it’s a quick turnaround after the AFL season ends to have good pitches ready etc.

Which was also repackaged as Cricket 96 for PC. I still have the CD-ROM of this game. Sadly it doesn’t work on modern PCs

That wont happen sadly. The BBL is staged when it is for a reason. It’s on during the Christmas/New Year School Holidays

Exactly this. If the idea is to market to families, it makes perfect sense to have games going on right through the holidays to make it easy for them to attend. Plus, the broadcasters are likely happy to have test days leading into Big Bash coverage for a full day of cricket.

Outside of World Cups, international T20s really don’t hold much relevance. Sure, you can attribute most of that blame here at least to the lack of international limited overs matches on FTA since 7/Fox took the rights. But the glut of domestic T20 leagues I think has caused an overexposure to the format.

So many factors would make this kind of data irrelevant to the modern context, not the least of which being the Tri-series was an ODI tournament.

Yes as i have stated before. We are now basically being forcefed a diet of Kentucky Fried Cricket. But that’s the fault of the administrators. Unfortunately like all things in society, money talks and bullshit walks.

Hey what about this instead of Australia playing 1 team series why don’t they have a 4 team ODI or 20/20 quad series using Australia A in Oct/Nov and get Channel 7 and Fox to share rights?

For me T20 was a lot better and more fun when it was a sideshow. When it was the entree. Not the main course.

Not exactly ideal, but South Africa has become the second semifinal qualifier of ICC Women’s World Cup.

That is because the match between Pakistan and NZ was halted for rain at 6.17pm ground time (1.47am NZ) and declared washout at 9.03pm/4.33am.

To make matters worse, this is the second consecutive washout for both teams in contention tonight.

Pakistan scored 5/92 at the end of over 25 when the delay was announced.
