India were bowled out for 185 at 5.35pm Sydney time. They fought back to take Usman Khawaja’s wicket with the last ball of the day, with Australia 1/9 at stumps.

The pitch should flatten out at some point. They just have to get though the morning session tomorrow at no worse than say 3/80 and try to get a lead of 100+.

It still.astounds me that Coffs harbour can host a BBL game but New South Wales’s second largest city can’t. The price we pay for being a Rugby League town and a politically safe region

No, a lot of the grounds in and around the Hunter aren’t up to scratch. The Jets women’s team have had to move games several times.

Not for cricket. That’s played down at the Sports Complex. Same with soccer.

Back in the day it was considered one of the best grass surfaces for hockey, it shares the same grounds as the cricket.

I haven’t seen the place for several years but when i was last there no. It badly needs serious upgrade. Not just player and spectator amenities but lights as well. Plus the playing field isn’t much bigger than North Sydney oval

Men have. Women’s home ground is nominally Number 2, but hasn’t recovered from union season. No double headers yet.
