What i meant was playing on home soil in April. But yes they have played in July and August at home but mostly in Northern Australia. Yeah in 2000 they played that 3 match ODI series against South Africa at what is now Marvel Stadium. Think that was experimental more than anything

There has been a few times where they have had random late ODI or t20 matches in AUS over here but it doesn’t happen very often due to the schedule.

Australia won the fifth and final ODI against England in Bristol overnight which was interrupted by rain, and claimed the series 3-2.

Poms were trying a delaying tactic hoping the rain would come before 20 overs of the Australian innings so that if rain came we would have a result. But it backfired. Australia got off to such a flyer in the run chase that in that last over Australia could have lost a couple of quick wickets and would have still been ahead on the DLS

England were also on track for 400+ in their innings too before it fell apart. May have been one of those pitches that slowed up as the ball got older and softer, so this may have worked out for the Aussies.

Dean Reynolds led Australia on the 1985 under-19s tour to India and Sri Lanka, where he has alleged he was sexually touched by the coach Bob Bitmead. He filed a statement of claim in the Queensland Supreme Court in July that seeks damages of more than $4 million from CA.

Bitmead has previously denied the allegation. CA has lodged its defence, denying all of Reynolds’ claims.

The case is set down for mediation on November 14.

Now 57, Reynolds was interviewed as part of a 2022 investigation of the tour by the ABC, an episode that led him to reconsider his own experiences in 1985 and afterwards.

Womens World T20 is underway. Aussie girl about to get their campaign underway. Though this tournament is unusual in that it’s a world cup where the host nation are not participating. Yes i’m aware that it’s because it was moved from Bangladesh

And being played in constantly hot 35 degree heat.

UAE must have offered up a lot of $$$ for the hosting rights. Which seems odd given the crowds will be pretty small.

T20 World Cup nowadays.

They’ve tarped the top level of the stands. Playing it here meant it wouldn’t have to be postponed, they can play whenever to suit India TV times, plus the UAE will be doing anything the ICC asks right now as there’s a real chance they move HQ from the UAE to the BCCI building in India soon if Jay Shah gets his way.

Well India would have to offer some nice tax incentives for that to happen

And boy would they. Jay’s from the ruling family.

Kind of adds weight to the long tjought conspiracy theory that the ICC is controlled by the BCCI and the BCCI is controlled by the Mumbai Mafia
