Sad but not unexpected. Canā€™t really explain why he was affected more.

Itā€™d be funny if McDonaldā€™s decided to sponsor it again. Like it did back in the 1980s. Maybe we would get the posters back

Iā€™m too young to remember the McDonalds Cup first hand- have only seen some highlights on YT. I think FAI sponsored the domestic OD cup in the early 90s. I really only started watching cricket in earnest in about 1995.

There isnā€™t much of the MMC on YouTube unfortunately. Former NSW bowler Wayne Holdsworth has uploaded some footage

Watched the Aussie run chase in that T20 International against Scotland and it made me wonder. What is the smaller ground? The Grange in Edinburgh or Pukekura Park in New Plymouth. Both tiny.

Australia enjoyed a 3-0 clean sweep of the Twenty20 series against Scotland in Edinburgh, however Nathan Ellis missed the final two games and will also skip the upcoming T20 series against England, due to a hamstring injury sustained in the Hundred. Riley Meredith will stay in the squad as cover.

In game 1, Travis Head blasted 80 from 25 balls to help his side chase down the target of 155 with 62 balls to spare.

In game 2, wicketkeeper Josh Inglis belted 103 from 49 balls as Australia posted 4/196 from their 20 overs, before bowling out the home side for 126.

Cooper Connolly made his international T20 debut in game 3, finishing with bowling figures of 0/25 from three overs. Cameron Green took 3/35 (his career best figures) while Aaron Hardie and Sean Abbott each grabbed two, as Scotland were restricted to 9/149 from their 20 overs. Greenā€™s 62 not out guided his side to reach the target in 16.1 overs.
