The 3rd Umpire helps resolve the doubt in decisions and that’s how it should be used - if an Umpire is unsure, refer it and allow a second set of eyes over it, but don’t cloud it by suggesting that you’re not sure, but I think it might be a particular outcome
The decision in this particular case was the right one, but that doesnt mean that its being used as it should.
England fought back from 5-8 (the lowest ODI score after losing first five wickets, previous low was 5-17) to be all out for 196 after 44.5 overs. Australia has five extra overs to chase 197 to win, but it will not be easy.
Edit: my prediction was right: Australia won the match with 13 overs to spare but with only three wickets left. Only Travis Head’s 96 held the innings together.
