I don’t think they can do a third test only if needed because of the world test championship

Agree, and also broadcast contracts that want certainty around how many games there will be (weather permitting),

Firstly, we’ve lost Rod Marsh, then Shane Warne and now Andrew Symonds this year. Sad year for Australian cricket.

Matthew Mott, who led the Australian women’s team to claim the ODI World Cup in New Zealand in April as well as back-to-back T20 World Cups, was today appointed the new white-ball coach of England men’s team on a four-year deal.
Australian assistant coach Shelley Nitschke has been named the interim head coach of the women’s team, for the T20I tri-series in Ireland in June which also features Pakistan, then the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

So they’re using the sponsor names at some stadiums and not others?

Vodafone (rival of Optus, which has the naming rights to Perth Stadium) is a sponsor of Cricket Australia. Also, Riverway Stadium and Cazaly Stadium don’t have a naming rights sponsor.

True, but I’d always thought their stance was no sponsors?

Sadly no matches in Melbourne or anywhere else again. Why do they always play in Brisbane? It’s January too, so it’s not availability issues.

Quite an earlier end to summer but I guess it starting in Window  . So many ODI we have not seen for a while !

Yeah, It’s a good 2-3 weeks earlier than a standard summer. I do wonder if it’s because they have a whole bunch of fixtures from August-October plus the T20I World Cup the summer ends in mid-January as opposed to mid-February.

Might be that they want to clash with the AFLW

There’s also that.
