You can’t fire someone based on an “allegation” which can’t be proven either way.

That would definitely set a very problematic precedent. Imagine a world where someone is sacked as soon as an allegation is made. No one in a high profile job would last very long, that’s for sure.

It’s bad enough we have trial by media we don’t really want to start going down that dangerous route.

I am referring to Andrew Lamming specifically not anyone else. He’s actions were proven time and time again.

Well Jason maybe you need to put some context in your post because I thought you were referring to something else. How are we meant to know who you are referring to? Just keep that in mind :grinning:

Exactly what has Andrew Laming done? Have you got any sufficient evidence to support that he should be fired? Remember an allegation doesn’t prove guilt or non guilty in whatever he’s been accused of. Given the mental health issue firing someone for having mental health issues is not reasonable nor is lawful.

Will have to go look up this.

Headlines like “IT WILL EXPLODE” are not helpful.

Seven went this mornings Press Conference with Acting Premier James Merlino during Sunrise, stayed with that for about 5 minutes or so. Then cut back to the Press Conference after a couple of minutes or so with Seven News branding in Melbourne.
