There is a story in the AFR that there is mass confusion amongst Melbourne businesses, big and small, about what they can and canā€™t do. Is there a state of confusion?

Apparently the website crashed this morning as people tried to apply for permits to allow them to work. YET AGAIN it seems that some people are STILL looking for loopholes.

Stay the fk at home!!!

Some people have to work though. There are doctors, nurses, aged care workers etc that all need those permits.

Permits are mandatory for every industry thatā€™s staying open, yet everyone applying is looking for a loophole?

Oh I know, most definitely, and in most cases their permits were sorted months ago. What Iā€™m meaning are people who are trying to get around the restrictions so they can get a permit.

Not much meat left at this Coles in Melbourne.

I donā€™t understand. How will these people try and get around the restrictions by obtaining a permit? Youā€™d need to be considered ā€˜essentialā€™ to obtain one if your industry is not impacting by the closer.

My employer and I had to fill one out today as the industry I work in isnā€™t impacted by the shutdown luckily.

That would be Coles Moonee Ponds

There was a reshuffle in the past week or so with Annalise Van Dieman being demoted from her position as Deputy Chief Health Officer. Annalise went back to her former duties.

I believe the state now has three Deputy Chief Health Officers if I read correctly. We have seen one of them doing the press conferences over the last two days or so.

Sandra Sully also tweeted that Brett Sutton had quit. After it was stated by the Victorian government that he hadnā€™t quit, Sully tweeted that 10 News didnā€™t just regurgitate the story from Sky News, she wrote that 10 had their own [fake (my description)] source.

The state government created the $1,500 worker support payment after the commonwealth dismissed calls from unions to establish national paid pandemic leave throughout June.

But in the intervening weeks, the Victorian scheme has appeared plagued by issues around takeup and eligibility, as well as processing delays.

Not true. Not demoted. Back to her former duties, as DH Communicable Diseases. Theyā€™ve added a specialist DHO for covid 19.
