Better add that to the “our responsibility is not our responsibility” list…

Not yet…

10 Million are going to GPs and Pharmacies (as they’re only allocated federally, states aren’t getting any Moderna for vax hubs) from Mid-September (1 Mil in September, 3Mil/month for Oct-Dec, the rest will likely be used as boosters.

Despite the current situation - perhaps it’s an emergency - Australia still rolling out slower than NZ, Fiji, Tonga and The Upper Middle Income average

Perhaps? The current situation here in Australia most certainly IS an emergency.

For a supposedly first world country, we should be ashamed at our response to these major Winter 2021 outbreaks.

She’s unhinged and dangerous. No compassion yet she claims to be speaking for true Australians.

No need to give her any oxygen or attention.

A Melbourne GP on ABC News channel just now stating why GPs are refusing to sign-off on the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine for people under 60 years of age:

The Morrison government announced an indemnity scheme for GPs, but still hasn’t implemented it.

Again, Morrison quickly announces but fails to deliver. :rage:

A lot of media has been critical of GPs that dont give AZ to under 60s, saying they are facilitating doctor shopping. But if they are not indemnified to go against ATAGI and the federal governments official position, its hard to blame them.

Brunei has its first locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in 15 months. 59 cases were reported yesterday.

Tasmania update: no new cases. Premier Peter Gutwein this morning announced a 4 point plan to shield the state from the Delta strain. It will focus on strengthening border processes, along with tracking and tracing, and will include a “vaccine blitz” and a business support package.

This afternoon ABC’s Casey Briggs tweeted that a new record of more than 255,000 doses of COVID vaccines were administered yesterday.

Thought I’d share this as it’s quite timely with this pandemic taking its toll on everyone- certainly evident with tempers flaring in these threads on a regular basis.

Probably important for us all to take a bit of a step back and remember that we are all human beings, all with unique situations and coping abilities and that a little bit of empathy and compassion can go a very long way.
