Are Seven and Nine showing it nationally, or just in Victoria?

It’s the mental health report that will be delayed - the final quarantine report was released in December

:rotating_light: EMERGENCY PRESS CONFERENCE

• 1 new case in Victoria
• Masks are mandatory indoors
• Private gatherings now at 15
• Australian Open crowds in doubt

More information will be announced tomorrow morning.

Most markets got the press conference on Seven and Nine.
I don’t think Seven Perth showed it.

Nine Radio played the key details of the press conference before going into a commercial.
Dan is still on ABC Victoria at the moment.

Providing everyone with a Radio Perspective of the Press Conference

The positive case is a 26-year-old man from Noble Park. He last worked at the Grand Hyatt on January 29, it was a hotel used for the Australian Open. ten news Melbourne twitter

Outside of military bases such as Cerberus and Pukapunyal, do these type of facilities even exist in Victoria? My understanding with Howard Springs (which is outer suburban Darwin) is the company who established it to longer required it and had left it empty. Pretty much just luck it was available.

Tonight’s new case ends Victoria’s 28 days of no new locally acquired cases.

Let’s hope that this is a isolated case and it hasn’t spread. If it has, wrap it up as quickly as they can as they did with the Black Rock cluster.

Nine left after about 5 minutes in… Seven and ABC have stayed with the conference.

At least we’re not locking down the entire state for 5 days. Victoria does have more confidence in its own contact tracing and testing teams.

They didn’t say anything of the sort.

how long was the black rock cluster lasted for?

Thought exactly the same. @JacobA, where did you hear that or is it just your own supposition?

I listed that there due to the few hundred players / staff that need to isolate

OK, so nothing official about crowds yet. Thanks for clearing that up.

What on earth is your source? This just sounds like fearmongering.

Given this person tested negative on the 29th hopefully he had a very minimal infectious period. Full props to Vic Govt for wasting no time and getting onto this quickly and proportionate response.

They only need to isolate until they return a negative test result
