Iâm honestly not surprised.
I am also not surprised at Chinaâs efforts in trying to cover up its involvements in the initial stage of COVID-19.
Iâm just saying that given there are numerous shopping centres/supermarkets in the past fortnight that have been exposure sites and not one confirmed positive case from any, then surely the risk/likelihood is low. Masks seem to be effective, unless it was people not wearing masks. Not saying itâs impossible but you would think more cases would have come up too if it was an exposure location. This person waited around 3 days from symptoms before getting tested (luckily they stayed at home those days prior).
The boxing test too is outdoors and socially distanced so low risk unless someone very close by or on that personâs group.
I just think itâs more likely to be a close contact over the Christmas period, these people would obviously be getting followed up and tested today so it may provide some answers.
Out of interest though they never found the exact source of the Black Rock cluster except that it originated from NSW did they? So this could be the second case/cluster from NSW that has seeded here without a known source.
I reckon youâll find a lot of that comes down to the âsave faceâ tradition.
âUnknowinglyâ enters NSW.
How oblivious has GPS made drivers?
Crossed that bridge many times, bit hard to miss the Welcome to New South Wales signs and I imagine the current check point on the inbound lane opposite.
Maybe once construction of the second bridge is completed, it may have a flashing neon sign with âWelcome to New South Walesâ. Even then, I think no notice will be taken.
Thought we should take a look at Canadaâs numbers as it has been under reported by mainstream media here. The country is in the middle of the second wave, and currently has nearly 620,000 COVID-19 cases and 16,233 people had died. It recorded the highest number of new cases on Sunday (January 3) with 11,383.
Scotty from Marketing finally doing some work and acting like a PM.
And I wouldnât be at all surprised to see it brought forward again.
And theyâll use the more infectuois UK strain as the reason to move up the vaccine rollout.

After downplaying the need a few days ago wasnât he? No need to February?
Iâm all for calling out crap politicians - especially those who shirk their responsibilities (and ScoMo has form there) - but this general attitude that politicians arent doing anything if they arent in front of the media really has to end.
there has always been a level of flexibility around when National Cabinet meet
I agree with expectations of politicians. I think the expectation came about from Howard who used media - especially tailback radio exceptionally well into what became the 24 hour news cycle era.
Morrison is a different beast altogether and there is something about his smugness which really irks me hence I find most of his agenda questionable.
I find it incredibly frustrating (amongst a lot of things about him) that his response to anything difficult is to evaporate or carry on with stupid soundbites like âwell I dont hold a hoseâ
The majority of the cases in Canada are in Providences where they have a âLive with the virusâ plan. In fact, in Canada there are a couple of provinces in the East that over the past fortnight been having both Donut Days (0 cases) and Stick Days (1 case) and yesterday combined Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland had recorded only 2 cases combined! Due to Stricter policy with relation on controlling the Pandemic.
Ontario is doing terribly. Their conservative provincial government is making a right hash of it. The main problem is that theyâre not taking strict enough measures to control the virus because of the âmuh freedomzâ crowd. A few government MPs went to Carribbean islands for holidays (on the sly) when the Federal and Provincial governments official advice was to stay at home.
Alberta being double the daily cases of BC despite the huge difference in population is a good example here.
VICâs latest numbers -
I am still waiting on for my result from yesterdayâs test.
