I may or may not have slipped him a fifty to help me out.

I’m not an expert in the field by any means, but surely it’s a good thing that Australia is currently able to wait for regulatory approval before vaccines are rolled out?

Besides, even when/if the shots do become available we’ll likely still have to deal with social distancing and border closures, etc. for most (if not all) of this year!

I’d rather wait and take a tested and effectively proven jab than one that’s been rushed for approval without final retrials and a lack of data, that’s for sure.

For as long as we continue our holding pattern and continue our management of the pandemic in a good way, we can afford the wait.

Victoria’s latest numbers -

Looks like the Vic Governments wish of zero new local cases by the weekend might come true.

From the information above, it seems like Victoria is now potentially just mopping up the remaining cases. Now under control from the looks off it.

Spoke too soon. 1 mystery cases now identified. Hopefully they find a chain of connection.

That potentially affects hundreds of cricket fans who were seated in that zone in the timeslot. They shouldn’t be too hard to find given Ticketek issued mobile tickets and had their contact details in the database.

Damn hopefully they can get to the bottom of this one quickly. Keep in mind that this person was unlikely to be infectious when at Chadstone or Boxing Day test, plus given we haven’t had transmission at any other shopping centre exposure sites, you’d think this is more likely from a direct contact. Hopefully once they are tested can find a link somewhere to Black Rock or NSW.

7000k to be exact.

even the VIC health minister said it might be linked somehow to nsw

Genomic testing will be available tomorrow so that will confirm the strain. Hopefully they can find the link before then though.

My workplace sent my manager, a colleague and myself home for the day and told to get a COVID-19 test, as my manager attended Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test even though they were located no where near the exposure location. I guess they’re just wanting to be safe.

I’ve just arrived home from that test and I was basically in and out. Probably 10 minutes tops.

But isn’t the concern that someone else may have been?

that’s my thinking. don’t forget Chadstone was on the exposure list and the date was boxing day and maybe he got there, went to test whilst being asymptomatic then became symptomatic
