Iā€™ve only seen via the tweets announcing the exposure site:

Only what DHHS just tweeted out.

This shit still shouldnā€™t be happening. People need to be held accountable. Weā€™ve had nearly a year to tighten the kinks with this. Unacceptable.

I think we should wait for details. Could this be the New Zealand issue again? Itā€™s quick to jump to conclusions but wait for the details first.

First the Kiwis and now this with international arrivals flying into Melbourne due to NSW Health.

I wouldnā€™t be so quick to point the finger to NSW Health.

Border enforcement is the responsibility of federal government, donā€™t NSW health only take over care at the quarantine hotels?!

How these two managed to get through border force and transit to the domestic terminal to catch a flight needs to be investigated.

Victoria has recorded no new cases for the 37th consecutive day.

Not to mention leave the international terminal and go to the domestic terminal to get the Melbourne flight. This shit is a joke and if they cause our restrictions to go back into place they should be charged and jailed.

no, they wonā€™t. and donā€™t get ur nickers in a not either. they should be fined yes jailed no

*knickers *knot

Try not to be so disrespectful to peopleā€™s comments and opinions.

Someone needs to be held accountable for this. Itā€™ll be interesting to hear what the authorities have to say.

We literally have a snippet of information on this. We probably havnā€™t heard the full story and there could be more to it. Letā€™s wait until we get the full picture and explanation before pointing fingers.

It would still have to be very bad luck for these two travellers to be positive, infectious and have passed it on. Given only a handful of returning travellers generally test positive each day in NSW hopefully this doesnā€™t lead to anything. At least the call out for isolation to those on the flight came the same day, so the wool should be wrapped around it pretty quickly even if it did equate to something.

Yeah I agree itā€™s good they found it so quickly. This could have been a lot worse. I fully agree that we need to wait for the full story. We have no idea what happened yet. Blaming NSW Health even though it seems to be a border issue is a bit harsh. I agree people need to be held accountable but we donā€™t need to have them held accountable before we know the facts.

Lets understand what happened first - as it stands, we have very little information

Well thatā€™s a good thing if true. But the mind still boggles that they managed to evade quarantine in Sydney.

Did they get an exemption? Was it a slip under the net? Hopefully these questions will be answered properly because if not there will be serious questions about potential double standards and other problems with the quarantine system.

Bars, pubs, cafes will move to one person per two square metres for indoor and outdoor venues from midnight

Masks must be carried by everyone at all times

ā€œThey must be worn in indoor shopping centres and supermarkets and department stores, for instance, Kmart or Myer, IKEA, Bunnings, JB Hi-Fi just to give you a few examples. And indoor markets such as the Prahran markets. Large, big crowds, people you do not know or people nobody has used a QR code, there is a need or requirement to continue to wear face masks in those settings.ā€

Victorians will only have to wear masks in certain circumstances including public transport, supermarkets

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said the NSW Government had committed to investigate how two German travellers slipped through the quarantine process at Sydney Airport and caught a Virgin domestic flight to Melbourne.
