COVID-19: Discussion of Impact 😷

Incorrect. Victoria conducted a number of pop up clinics in hot spots.

A little bit different though. They should have done the pop ups for the cedar meats cluster or when cases were found at a McDonald’s etc

Numbers up in NSW.

Let’s hope this NSW cluster remains small but it just goes to show that these random outbreaks are going to keep occurring and why social distancing needs to be a way of life. We’ve seen how quickly a few cases got out of control in Melbourne.

It is slowly going down but it was a Sunday. Would be interesting to see if the testing numbers were down as well.

The numbers have at least stabilised and not continued to grow exponentially. Hopefully we have hit the peak and start seeing the impacts of the initial hotspot lockdowns now in the numbers.

i’d be skeptical, the stable numbers would be more due to the testing process slowing down on a sunday, following the international trend. we thought they were stabilising last week in the low 100’s. whatever level it is, i think number will peak later this week.

So that is down quite significantly on other days.

I think it’s pretty epic for a Sunday.

It is but there were days of other 30k last week so the percentage is quite similar to a 280+ positive case day.

Now another case from Star Casino in pyrmont in Sydney. Infected patron attended the venue. This thing is now spreading in Sydney.

Can only think of dire consequences.

The Star is the dodgiest building in Sydney. Not surprisingly that someone caught something there.

Which was at least a week ago based on the Star’s media release - this poses a few questions…

Indeed the whole thing incubation period of the virus. Where else has the person been between July 4 and when he/she self isolated. We could be the next Melbourne with all of this.

It’s good that as a nation we react to such small numbers compared to the 60k cases per day in the US and they do absolutely nothing.

Where did the crossroads cluster originate from?
